it has been quite the busy weekend, and i wanted to share some of what i’ve been doing! i had the honor of shooting for maura knowles, aka known as MO from mac n mo’s!  although mo has been in several feature films, on stage and television (most notably in my book for her roles on law and order! lol! mo! i told you…i’m a LAO junkie!!), she is currently promoting her healthy baked goods company “mac n mo’s” – (she’s an incredible health coach as well!) mo launched her company out of love for her dad who has diabetes and is a heart patient. like so many of us, he craved baked goods.  mo created the perfect morsel to satisfy that craving without sugar, sodium, gluten, gmo’s, or preservatives.  this weekend, i spent a lovely morning with her shooting for an upcoming fall issue of where women cook where she will be featured. lucky me, i got to taste some of her delicious morsels, (fell in love with the chocolate chip flavor, but she has an incredible pumpkin cranberry flavor as well) as well as partake in her cuppa mojo creation – a thick and satisfying alternative to your morning coffee. several other of her recipes will be featured in her article with where women cook this fall.  until then, you can buy her morsels and morsel mix in mother’s market, lassen’s natural food, santa monica coop, erewhon in los angeles, pc greens in malibu, full o’ life in burbank, sacramento coop, and follow your heart in canoga park. you can also order them online directly from mac n mo’s.  they are a perfect snack for your kids too! my daughter loves them as an after school snack, or in the morning for breakfast.  mo…it was an absolute pleasure meeting you and chatting away our morning. as i stumble around on my own health journey, you righted me back on track and i’m thrilled to have met you.

just a quick sneaky peeky from a shoot i did for where women cook magazine this past weekend of a fabulous little cafe right in the heart of old hollywoodland.  the issue is due out this fall and i’ll be excited to share more then.
